Tony Todd (December 4, 1954 – November 6, 2024) was an acclaimed American actor known for his deep, resonant voice and imposing screen presence. Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Hartford, Connecticut, Todd trained in theatre at the University of Connecticut and the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, building a foundation for his later work both on stage and screen. Todd's film career began in the mid-1980s with supporting roles in films like "Platoon" (1986) and "Sleepwalk" (1986). He rose to prominence for his starring role as Ben in "Night of the Living Dead" (1990) before achieving iconic status as the title character in the horror classic "Candyman" (1992), a role he would reprise in several sequels. Peter Parker has spent a year on his lonesome, until he has visions of an older woman with spider legs, calling her Madame Web, she tells him to avoid the symbiote at all costs. Peter initially doesn’t understand, until one day he gets taken over by a mysterious black gooey substance. Peter seeks out the help of Bruce Banner to understand what this thing is, Bruce finds out it has symbiotic origins. Peter, remembering Madame Web’s warning, decides to destroy the symbiote once and for all.
