A year after "Spider-Man: No Way Home," Peter Parker is still mourning Aunt May and battling mental health issues. He stays in touch with Happy Hogan, but his apartment remains empty. The Daily Bugle fixates on Spider-Man, and Wilson Fisk runs for Mayor. Peter attends ESU to afford rent, meeting classmates Miles and Carlie. He has a crush on Carlie but keeps his distance. Peter partners with Miles for a project, but their work is disrupted. While apprehending Mac Gargan, Peter meets Black Cat, who hints at Fisk’s criminal activities. Gargan, desperate to support his family, is bailed out by Fisk, who manipulates him into becoming Scorpion to eliminate Spider-Man. The next day, Peter and Miles are supposed to work together, but Peter's Spidey app alerts him to danger, leading to a confrontation with Scorpion. Peter realizes Scorpion is Mac and is severely beaten until Black Cat saves him and tends to his wounds. They share a kiss. The following day, J. Jonah Jameson berates Peter for not providing photos of Spider-Man. Miles gives Peter a reality check, and Carlie comforts him, giving him her number. Fisk devises a plan and sends Scorpion after Peter. Spider-Man seeks Black Cat's help; she reveals her identity and that Fisk killed her father. Scorpion attacks Peter’s apartment and captures Miles. Spider-Man and Black Cat rescue Miles and send Scorpion to Ryker's Island. In the end, Peter and Black Cat ask Miles to continue their project and invite Carlie for coffee.
