Captain Stacy witnessed another battle between Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus. A crowd had gathered when large bits of concrete started to fall. Captain Stacy was then killed when he was crushed by falling debris while saving a small child . Before he died he revealed to Spider-Man that he knew he was secretly Peter Parker. Captain Stacy's final words were "Be good to her, son! Be good to her. She loves you so very much".
