Michael Giacchino (/dʒəˈkiːnoʊ/ jə-KEE-noh; Italian: [dʒakˈkiːno]; born October 10, 1967) is an American film, television, and video game score composer. He has received many accolades for his work, including an Academy Award for Up (2009), an Emmy for Lost (2004), and three Grammy Awards. Giacchino is known for his collaborations with directors J. J. Abrams, Brad Bird, Matt Reeves, Pete Docter, Colin Trevorrow, Jon Watts, Gareth Edwards, Drew Goddard, J. A. Bayona, The Wachowskis, Taika Waititi, and Thomas Bezucha. His film scores include several films from the Mission: Impossible, Jurassic World, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Trek reboot series, eight Pixar Animation Studios films, multiple Disney films, Rogue One, The Batman, and several other films. He also composed the score for the video game series Medal of Honour and Call of Duty and the television series Alias, Lost, and Fringe. In 2018, he ventured into directing and, in 2022, directed the Marvel Studios Disney+ special Werewolf by Night. With the Avengers divided after the Sokovia Accords, Peter Parker struggles to balance his high school life and responsibilities as Spider-Man. The absence of a unified Avengers team leaves New York vulnerable to new threats, and Peter must step up as a solo hero. Meanwhile, Oscorp, led by Norman Osborn, is secretly developing dangerous technologies. Osborn, seeking greater power, transforms himself into the Green Goblin, becoming a major threat to the city. At the same time, a botched Oscorp experiment unleashes the Vulture, a seasoned villain who tests Peter both physically and mentally. With the Avengers split, Peter seeks guidance from Tony Stark, but Stark is distant, preoccupied with his own guilt and responsibilities after the Civil War. As Peter wrestles with his growing abilities and his relationships with those around him, including Gwen Stacy and Aunt May, the burden of being a hero becomes heavier. In a climactic battle, Spider-Man faces the Green Goblin, who threatens to destroy everything Peter holds dear. The confrontation pushes Peter to his limits, forcing him to accept the painful sacrifices that come with being a hero. The Green Goblin is defeated, but Norman Osborn survives, retreating to plan his next move. Post Credits: Peter, weary from the recent events, receives a mysterious message hinting at future challenges. Meanwhile, Norman Osborn, still alive and plotting, begins gathering resources for a larger, more sinister plan.
