Joshua Ilan Gad (born February 23, 1981) is an American actor. He is known for voicing Olaf in the Frozen franchise and originating the role of Elder Cunningham in the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon. For his role as Olaf, Gad won two Annie Awards, and for his work in The Book of Mormon, he co-won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Gad was also nominated for the 2011 Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical.

Governor Al Simmons' assassin is killed after being betrayed by his boss, Jason Wynn. Upon arriving in Hell, Simmons is offered an offer to return to Earth if he is willing to lead an army of evil. He accepts and is reincarnated as a Hellspawn, a horribly twisted version of his former self. However, Spawn serves as a force for good to the despair of the Devil's henchman, an evil clown.
