Odysseus spends twenty years away fighting in the Trojan War and trying to return home. Back in Ithaca, 108 greedy suitors pressure Penelope to remarry. She uses her sharp mind to delay them, while raising their son, Telemachus. Throughout his trials—and temptations like Circe—Odysseus stays true to Penelope, using her memory to reject advances. Odysseus finally returns to Ithaca, taking vengeance on the suitors who plotted against his family. In the musical's finale, "Would You Fall in Love with Me Again", a traumatized and guilt-ridden Odysseus faces Penelope. He questions if she can still love him knowing the ruthless things he had to do to survive. Their bond prevails as they overcome the heavy emotional toll of the twenty-year war and reunite.
