Evring is a Prince of Ev, the youngest son of Evoldo and his queen. He is a pretty, fair-haired boy, the youngest of ten children. When Evoldo sold his wife and ten children to the Nome King, Evring was transformed into a purple kitten. He was rescued by Dorothy Gale, and his family was liberated by Billina the hen. They returned to Evna where Evring's oldest brother, Evardo, was crowned king.
