Scar, formerly known as Taka, is the main antagonist of Disney's 1994 animated feature film The Lion King, and the deuteragonist of Disney's 2001 direct-to-video film Mufasa: The Lion King. He is a malevolent and deceitful lion who was the son of Obasi and Eshe, the best friend turned adoptive brother and later archenemy and murderer of Mufasa, the former love interest and adoptive brother-in-law of Sarabi, and the adoptive nephew and arch-nemesis of Simba, and the arch-nemesis of the white lion Kiros, who is the reason why he was corrupted.
