Akira Shinmei (新命 明 Shinmei Akira) is Aorenger (アオレンジャー Ao Renjā, Blue Ranger) of the Gorengers, with the designation number "2". He was training in the snow-draped Touhoku region with his EAGLE branch. He is the second-in-command to Akarenger.
