Betrayal comes in all kinds of forms, one of them being characters turning their backs on former allies and walking away, abandoning them to their fate without so much as having to lift a finger. Or even just standing there as the ex-ally is demanding that they give them a weapon. Sometimes this is part of an Uriah Gambit, when the traitor specifically created the situation in which their former ally would need their help. Other times it is the result of a Fair-Weather Friend. Bodyguard Betrayal often happens this way. A particularly cruel variant occurs if the traitors simply stand there and laugh at their former friend's misfortune.
