Sonic, the fastest hedgehog on Mobius, lives a carefree life with his family: Queen Aleena, a regal leader; Sonia, a fierce musician; Manic, a cunning thief-turned-hero; Tails, the inventive fox they adopted; and Uncle Chuck, a tech-savvy mentor. In Mobius Valley, Sonic hangs with Amy (his admirer), Knuckles (the stoic guardian), and the enigmatic Shadow, who keeps to himself. The story begins when a portal rips open in the sky, and Silver, a hedgehog from a future dimension, crashes into Mobius. Silver reveals his home, the Spirit Realm of the Watcher of Worlds, is under attack by Black Doom, Shadow’s father, a malevolent entity seeking to consume all dimensions. Silver’s vision shows Black Doom targeting Mobius next, with Shadow unwittingly tied to his father’s return. Sonic, skeptical but curious, agrees to help Silver investigate. Meanwhile, Sonic encounters Chip, a glowing sprite from a crystal planet, in a forest at night. Chip, sent by the ancient guardian Tikal, warns Sonic of a dormant power within him: the Werehog, a feral form triggered by moonlight and chaos energy. Sonic struggles to control this beastly side, especially when nightmares plague him—visions of his family and friends in peril, including a shadowy figure resembling his late father, Jules, who died in a mysterious war years ago.
