There is a small country town near the zone of Green Hills, a peaceful valley in the middle of nowhere. However, an ultra-powerful pulse causes a state-wide blackout, which catches the attention of G.U.N.N, a government organization, along with the maniacal Doctor Robotnik. The town's sheriff is forced into partnership with Sonic, the super-powered hedgehog responsible for the pulse, and Tails, Sonic's intelligent best friend. But Robotnik isn't alone, as he has a partner of his own, a brutish echidna named Knuckles.
