Dr. Robotnik has returned to Earth and teamed up with a super-strong echidna named Knuckles in search of a powerful emerald. Sonic, having settled in Green Hills, Montana, teams up with a two-tailed fox named Tails on a quest to find this emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
