Once in the new world (using a portal created by a scientist), Josh and Mia discover a stone of unknown origin, and now they have learned that it is not just a stone, but a chaos emerald that has been completely drained of power. Realizing that the situation is not very good, Josh and Mia with Sonic and his partners must embark on a challenging and epic adventure to find the Chaos Emeralds, restore all the emerald powers in the mysterious temple, and defeat Eggman & other villains
