Sonic and his Freedom Fighters enter Angel Island only to be greeted by an echidna with spiked gloves, Knuckles as he steals the Chaos Emeralds away from them! Little do they know that Dr. Robotnik has lied to Knuckles into thinking the Freedom Fighters are the enemy and steals away the Master Emerald away from the island!
