Andrew met Philp while he was a follower of John the Baptist, and Philp was there for the Baptism of Jesus! Days later, Jesus saw Philp again and asked him to follow him. Philp wholeheartedly accepted, and went to pick up his friend Nathanael, whom he had not seen in years. Of all the disciples, Philp is the most experienced, the most spiritually-knowledgeable.
