It was written and produced by Richard "Biff" Stannard and Julian Gallagher, with additional writing by Minogue, Ash Howes, and Martin Harrington. The song was released as the third single from Fever on 21 May 2002 by Festival Mushroom, Parlophone and Capitol Records. Musically, "Love at First Sight" is a dance-pop and nu-disco song which, lyrically, describes the singer falling and believing in love at first sight.
