Solarcraft is a 2022 American science fiction drama film written, co-produced, and directed by Christopher Nolan. It is about a wilderness adventurer who is sent in 1972 to the planet Neptune by her father. A co-production by Legendary Pictures and RatPac-Dune Entertainment, with a story by David S. Goyer, the film stars Anne Hathaway, who is supported by Kaya Scodelario, Jack Quaid, Ken Watanabe, James Purefoy, Morgan Freeman, Naomie Harris, Will Patton, Melissa McBride, and Michael Caine. Solarcraft had its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on November 30th, 2022, and was released on December 7th. It was a financial success, grossing over $971 million worldwide against a $130 million budget and a break-even point of $100 million.
