Princess Aurora is cursed by an evil fairy at her christening after not being invited. Doomed to die upon pricking her finger on a spinning wheel at the age of sixteen, a good fairy softens the spell into a deep, hundred-year sleep, from which she will only awaken with a prince's kiss of true love.
