Jabez Olssen (born 5 August 1975) is a New Zealand film and television editor who has worked extensively with director Peter Jackson. Starting in 1998, Olssen worked in the editorial department of two television programs in New Zealand. He was then hired to work with principal editor Michael J. Horton on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (directed by Peter Jackson – 2002). Olssen was ultimately credited as an "additional editor" on this film. The two editors won the Online Film Critics Society Award and the Las Vegas Film Critics Society Award for this film. Olssen said of his work, "Anyway, if I never get to edit anything ever again, I can still say that I've edited scenes with Gollum in them and I've edited scenes with Darth Vader in them so, I'm good." He won an Emmy in the 2022 award ceremony for Outstanding Picture Editing for a Nonfiction Program for his work on The Beatles: Get Back. Skyrim is an upcoming American fantasy monster film based on the video game Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The film is directed by Peter Jackson and stars Vin Diesel as the voice of Alduin, with Benedict Cumberbatch, Lenny James, James Earl Jones, Patrick Stewart, and Armie Hammer in supporting roles. Jackson announced that the film would be released theatrically in the fall season of 2021, and it would be rated PG-13. :Plot: Before he was Dovahkiin, he was Marcus Evicus (Armie Hammer), the son of a moth priest and nephew of another, and when he enters skyrim, the Empire lead by the cowardly General Tullius (Guy Pearce) captures him and takes him to Helgen. However, when he goes to the executioner's block, the vile elder dragon Alduin (Vin Diesel) attacks Helgen, which leads Marcus to escape the town with Stormcloak soldier Ralof (Jason Segel) of Riverwood, and warn Jarl Balgruuf the Greater (Benedict Cumberbatch) and eventually go to High Hrothgar to learn the shouts to defeat Alduin.
