A Fire Element Core Skylander initiated after the loss of the original Skylanders. Sir Smolder was a suit of armor that belonged to a famed knight who lost his life to a dragon's fiery breath... But when the knight died, the magic in the flames brought the suit to life, and its newborn fiery spirit burned with such power that it managed to slay the beast! Word of this incident reached far and wide, and it led to the newborn armor spirit being scouted as a Skylander.
