Southpaw was a kit from a small town ravaged by bandits, thieves, and other ne'er-do-wells who sought out a deposit of gold supposedly buried during the town's founding. They'd traced it to the small farm that Southpaw's family owned, and attempted to lay siege—but Southpaw refused to let them ravage his family's home and fought them all back. Though the treasure was ultimately discovered to have laid there, Southpaw refused to take it, for all he wanted was to protect his family. He'd ultimately get an even better treasure after his story made its way to George, who admired Southpaw's protective nature and gave him a place in the Skylanders' ranks.
