When he was six years old, Avenir was swept away from his home on Earth and brought to Skylands, where he spent the next ten years of his life primed by Evilon's apprentices to aid their chosen heir in ruling their evil empire... But when the chosen heir was unexpectedly killed during a mission, he finds himself fighting with his fellow students for the Core and the right to rule. Overly confident to the point of foolhardiness, Avenir cares only for himself and thinks that he's above everything and everyone, even danger and his own mentors.
