Mawuli's mother, a blind woman who became a teacher and heralded cultural critic and researcher. She understood well the value of education and the leg up it provides, and was determined to make sure her son got it no matter what people had to say about him—after all, what was thrown at him was the same as what people said about her back in the day. She's briefly shown reuniting with Mawuli after he returns home from Skylands. Black VAs only; you get bonus points for VAs who are disabled as well.
