Sneezy is a fictional character from Disney's 1937 animated feature film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. He is one of the seven dwarfs and his name is based on his severe hay fever instead of a personality. Most often, Sneezy is prone to eruptive, unpredictable, and uncontrollable bouts of sneezing that can blow people and things away like a strong gust of wind, something that his fellow dwarfs try to help him hold in, which sometimes work, but not all the time. He also speaks as if constantly suffering from a stuffy nose. Sneezy lives in a cottage in the forest (presumably in Germany) with his six other brothers and works with them in a jewel mine that is "over the seven jeweled hills beyond the seventh fall" where he works from whatever time in the morning to 5 P.M. every day mining gemstones and presumably other riches. His most common mining tool is a pickaxe, which he uses to unearth gemstones.

The story of Wool takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth. Humanity clings to survival in the Silo, a subterranean city extending one hundred forty-four stories beneath the surface. The series initially follows the character of Holston, the sheriff of the Silo, with subsequent volumes focusing on the characters of Juliette, Jahns, and Marnes. An ongoing storyline of the series is the focus on the mystery behind the Silo and the secrets it holds. The Silo's mystery is eventually revealed by the end of book five; books six through eight comprise a prequel to the series. Book nine pulls the storylines together.
