Alexander "Alex" Proyas (born 23 September 1963) is an Australian filmmaker. He is best known for directing the films The Crow (1994), Dark City (1998), I, Robot (2004), Knowing (2009), and Gods of Egypt (2016).

Travis Grady is a truck driver, that takes a shortcut through the town of Silent Hill, only to find a house on fire and a little girl critically burned. Travis saves the girl, but passes out and when he comes to, he finds himself in the abandoned fog filled town called Silent Hill.
