Donkey talks a whole lot with his friends and Shrek. Shrek could really care less, he wants peace and quiet but all he can hear is his best friend keep talking. Talking at meals, talking on the way, talking in his sleep, talking about nothing! Shrek is at his limits and tells him to shut up! The next day, Donkey is silent and the fun stops. In the end, rather than run away or antagonize Shrek, Donkey shows his respect to him by not talking so much. In response, Shrek learns to tolerate his friend more and find interest in his gossip.
