Woody came from a cow-herding family on a ranch in upstate New York, wanting a job in California to be the first sheriff in his family. But not to get glory, but when someone's in trouble, or in a life-or-death situation, he wants to be there. He used to stop bullies when he was a kid just to stand up for other kids he didn't know, but now that he has to stand against Bart, who has men and guns, standing up to this criminal won't be easy. Although the odds are against him, Woody will stop at nothing to save Luckey Valley. For as both his father, and the town’s prior sheriff have told him before: a hero is not defined by strengths, but by his heart.
