Rick Yune (born Richard Yun; August 22, 1971) is a Korean American actor, screenwriter, producer, and martial artist. He is the older brother of actor Karl Yune. His best known roles are as Master Clive Lee in Alita: Battle Angel, Kaidu Khan in Netflix's series Marco Polo, Kang in Olympus Has Fallen, Zen Yi the X-Blade in The Man with the Iron Fists, Zao in the James Bond movie Die Another Day, and Johnny Tran in The Fast and the Furious. He practices many forms of martial arts, having reached Olympic standard in Taekwondo and being a serious contender for the US team when he was 19. He changed the spelling of his last name from "Yun" to "Yune" for Screen Actors Guild (SAG) purposes. He was voted one of People magazine's Sexiest Men in 2002. Shang Chi is a 2012 epic period action drama film directed and co-produced by Peter Jackson, who also co-wrote the screenplay with John Logan and Marshall Herskovitz from a story devised by Logan. The film stars Ken Watanabe in the title role, with Rinko Kikuchi, Yukie Nakama, Timothy Spall, Billy Connolly, Tony Goldwyn, Hiroyuki Sanada, Koyuki, and Shin Koyamada in supporting roles. Ken Watanabe portrays the Chinese Hero, whose personal and emotional conflicts bring him into contact with samurai war. The film's plot was inspired by the American Revolution and the French and Indian War. The film was the first film to reach a runtime of 6 hours. The film has Iconic moments such as the Boston Tea Party, Battle of Bunker hill and Battle of The Chesapeake bay. Shang Chi grossed a total of $1.257 Billion at the box office and received positive reviews, with praise for the acting, visuals and Zimmer's score but criticism for some of its portrayals. It was nominated for several awards, including four Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and two National Board of Review Awards.
