At first glance, Shadow looks like a grim version of Sonic. In fact, he is the “ultimate lifeform”. He was found by Dr. Robotnik’s grandfather Prof. Gerald Robotnik after he crash landed on Earth from space in a meteorite near Oklahoma 50 years ago. He possesses great Chaos energy, super speed, teleportation, his own Super form with the Chaos Emeralds, and is a fearsome and skilled fighter, as well as marksman and motorcyclist (as he wielded a gun and rode a motorcycle temporarily). He is equipped with Air Shoes which allow him to hover skate over any surface and fly, as well as Limiter Rings developed by the professor himself which limit his Chaos abilities, but he can remove them to draw out more of his inner power. With these immense powers, Shadow will use any means necessary to achieve his goals.
