Ebon Moss-Bachrach (/ˈɛbɪn mɑːs ˈbækəræk/) (born March 19, 1977) is an American actor. He is known for his role as restaurant manager Richie Jerimovich in the comedy-drama series The Bear (2022–present), for which he was twice awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and two Golden Globe Award nominations. Moss-Bachrach has had major television roles on Girls (2014–2017) and NOS4A2 (2019–2020) and appeared in the first season of Star Wars: Andor (2022). In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he portrayed David "Micro" Lieberman in the first season of The Punisher (2017) and Ben Grimm / The Thing in The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025). As the Demon Slayer Corps wages war against Muzan Kibutsuji and his Upper Moons in Taisho-era Japan, an unexpected event changes everything. During a fierce battle, a forbidden demonic technique creates a massive portal, swallowing Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and several Hashira. When they regain consciousness, they find themselves in an unfamiliar world—modern-day Earth. Confused and disoriented, the Demon Slayers wander through the neon-lit streets of New York City, struggling to understand the strange technology and overwhelming noise of this era. However, they are not alone. Blade, the infamous Daywalker, detects their presence and mistakes them for supernatural threats. A heated battle erupts between Tanjiro and Blade, but before things escalate further, Iron Fist intervenes, recognizing their martial arts stances and sensing they are not enemies. Elsewhere, the rift that transported the Demon Slayers has also unleashed a greater danger—Muzan and several Upper Moons have arrived in the modern world. Sensing the new opportunities this era presents, Muzan manipulates dark forces, forming alliances with powerful villains and experimenting on humans to create an evolved breed of demons immune to traditional weaknesses.
