Hundreds of years into the future, Sonic, his friends, and Dr. Eggman are all gone. The only one left is Shadow the Hedgehog who was designed by Gerald Robotnik to be immortal. Shadow is filled with regret and loneliness. He struggles with his immortality that has been given to him by the Professor, and questions whether he should die or keep on living even when it seems no one will be around forever.
