First appeared in Thor Vol. 2 #22 in 2000 and was created by Dan Jurgens and John Romita, Jr. Tarene was an alien known as the Designate who later took on the alias of Thor Girl and became an ally of Thor, as well as the alias of Jake Olson's "cousin" Tara.
