Paul Stephen Rudd (born April 6, 1969) is an American actor. Rudd studied theatre at the University of Kansas and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts before making his acting debut in 1991. He was included on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list in 2019 and was named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" in 2021. The accolades he has received include a Critics' Choice Television Award, as well as nominations for a Golden Globe Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Rudd appeared in the films Clueless (1995), Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995), Romeo + Juliet (1996), Wet Hot American Summer (2001), Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Knocked Up (2007), I Love You, Man (2009), and This Is 40 (2012). He has played the superhero Scott Lang / Ant-Man in five Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, from Ant-Man (2015) to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023). He played Gary Grooberson in the Ghostbusters films Afterlife (2021) and Frozen Empire (2024). Rudd has also appeared in numerous television shows, including the sitcom Friends (2002–2004) as Mike Hannigan, and has featured as a guest host of Saturday Night Live multiple times. He had a dual role in the comedy series Living with Yourself (2019), which earned him a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy. He starred in the miniseries The Shrink Next Door (2021). He featured in the Hulu comedy series Only Murders in the Building (2023–2024), which earned him a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Ever wondered what it would be like if the heroes of the Arrowverse and the DC Universe went head to head with the heroes of both the MCU and DCEU? Based on the Secret Wars Marvel comic book crossever series - but instead of Heroes vs. Villains its Heroes vs Heroes. Lex Luthor finds himself joining forces with an alternate version of Thanos in an effort to pit superheroes from other universes against each other. So every nearly superhero from the Arrowverse, DC Universe, MCU and DCEU are teleported against their will to "Battleworld", a planet created by them in a distant galaxy, stocked with alien weapons, technology and mismatched parts from different worlds. Both Lex and Thanos tell them to battle it out to the death if need be. and, to the victor, his or her greatest desire will be granted. But unbeknownst to Thanos, Lex secretly has his own ulterior motive - he wants to see the heroes destroy each other until theres no one left. Lines will be drawn (and crossed) and friendships will be tested and are never the same again and strange unexpected alliances will take shape in a crossover like no other.
