Francine Cross is a cynical, mean spirited television executive, she treats her loyal assistant with contempt. She just sacked a member of staff on Christmas Eve for simply disagreeing with her, and she's alienated herself from her sister who still insists on inviting Francine to Christmas dinner despite her refusing to go every year. However, Francine is forced to learn the true meaning of Christmas when she's visited by three ghosts.
