Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris) and Brenda Meeks (Regina Hall) think they’ve finally survived the Ghostface reboots. Suddenly, they find themselves trapped in a dystopian nightmare run by a tyrannical government where citizens are forced to walk until they drop dead (The Long Walk). Along the way, they stumble into a heavily quarantined Great Britain overrun by sprinting, furious zombies (28 Years Later).
As if the apocalypse wasn't bad enough, Cindy's nephew accidentally downloads a haunted indie game on his phone featuring a giant pixelated toad (Cowboy Toad Games), which summons a demonic, homicidal puppet from a corrupted children's TV show (Buddy). To make matters worse, plays in the background every time a killer appears. Cindy and Brenda must team up with a bizarre group of survivors—including a feral wild boy (The Wild Robot) and an overly dramatic group of teenagers from recent streaming horror movies—to break the simulation, stop the "Rage Virus," and escape the studio lot once and for all.
