Mapusaurus (meaning "Earth lizard") was a giant carcharodontosaurid carnosaurian dinosaur from the early Late Cretaceous (late Cenomanian to early Turonian stage), approximately 97 to 93 million years ago, of what is now Argentina and Chile.
