Avia is a Nhu'Ghari mutant who rescued Angel from dying in a heavy storm while searching for her partner Marvel Girl who disappeared when the team had reached Savage Land.[2] She left the Savage Land together with the X Men, being trapped along with Angel in the South Atlantic by the crew of the ship Sigurd Jarlson, after falling unconscious as a result of the destruction of the ship in which they had escaped. They were sold to the band the freaks led by Stefan Ulrich Krueger.[3] she was finally freed by the x-men and taken to X-Mansion.[4] In the x mansion she was poisoned by Kraven the Hunter in order to force Beast to participate in a wild hunt for the antidote, Beast managed to defeat Kraven saving Avia's life.[5] Her current status is unknown.
