Tate M. Coan is a New York City-based writer, director, and comedian originally from Silver Lake, Los Angeles. She is the creator and show runner of Silly Billys, a sketch comedy series known for its chaotic tone, satirical edge, and goose mascot with main character energy. The show blends sharp social commentary with absurdist humor and donates to a different charity each week.
Tate began her comedy career in stand-up and live performance before shifting behind the camera to focus on writing, editing, and producing original work. Her storytelling is often rooted in personal experience, delivered with a blend of wit, vulnerability, and a hint of revenge.
A graduate of UC Berkeley's Media Studies program, she brings a cinematic sensibility to comedy and appears in select episodes of Silly Billys, though her main work lives in the writing room and post-production studio.
