Amy Lou Adams (born August 20, 1974) is an American actress. Known for both her comedic and dramatic roles, she has been featured three times in annual rankings of the world's highest-paid actresses. She has received various accolades, including two Golden Globe Awards. She has been nominated for six Academy Awards, seven British Academy Film Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards. Adams began her career as a dancer in dinner theatre, a pursuit she followed from 1994 to 1998. They made her film debut with a supporting part in the dark comedy Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). She made guest appearances on television and took on roles as the "mean girl" in low-budget feature films. Her first major role was in Steven Spielberg's biopic Catch Me If You Can (2002), but she was unemployed for a year afterwards. Due to the Sailor Planet Wars of the Silver Millennium, the last fragments of the presence known as Queen Metallia and her Negaforce have doomed the Solar System. From its fiery end long ago, there are some survivors. Sent into space by their wise and loving parents, the reborn Children of the Solar Kingdoms make the voyage to our Earth of the 1970s to 1980s. As the 1990s begin, a select five or six realize that they possess a vast array of strengths that mortal humans do not have. Soon the time would come when they would need to discover their true destinies. In the frozen south of the Antarctic, the spirit of Queen Serenity helps the cats Luna and Artemis teach five girls that they must become the Sailor Scouts/Soldiers. Their mission will be to use their powers in a never-ending struggle against evil, crime, injustice and disasters on Earth. Returning to Tokyo, their leader Sailor Moon begins courting a potential Tuxedo Mask and their campaign against forces of evil.
