A American Adaptation of Toei’s Spider-Man
Centuries ago on the distant Planet Web, a peaceful civilization thrived under the guidance of the wise warrior Gaia. This utopia was shattered when the tyrannical warlord Lord Mortar launched a devestating siege to harvest the planet's unique bio-magnetic grid. Gaia engaged Lord Mortar in a catastrophic duel, successfully sealing the villain inside a subterranian stasis tomb at the cost of Planet Web's structural integrity. Before the planet collapsed, Gaia uploaded his consciousness and the planet's ultimate defense system - The Spider Saucer and Spider Battle Bot into a deep-space caupsel programmed to find a worthy sucessor on Earth. In the present day, an archaelogical excavation breaches Lord Mortar's ancient tomb on Earth, reviving him and his treacherous commander Sheena (disguised on Earth as rival reporter Sirena). As Lord Mortar unleashes his giant Omni Monsters and his mindless army of metallic Bird Bots to conquer earth, the spirit of Gaia reaches out to Peter Partker, a brilliant but tech-savy college student. Granted the advance Spider Comm and the cosmic powers of Planet Web, Peter must balance his chaotic life at the Daily Bugle with his destiny as Earth's premier protector Spider-Man!
