The year is 1998. In a mid-western mountain town in America called Raccoon City, an elite group of police officers known as S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) are tasked with taking down urban crime and high-profile criminal activity, being led by Commander Albert Wesker. The team must put a stop to a hostage situation involving the Mayor of Raccoon City's daughter and a few high-ranking employees of the city's biggest benefactor, the pharmaceutical company Umbrella, Inc.
