The setting is mostly going to be the same, a fantasy like world with the technology of dystopian cyberpunk esque sci fi. But unlike RWBY's canon there is no aura or Semblances. Only the humanoids and the Grimm's. Humanoids consist of the multi species of sapient beings; Man, Faunus/Scalebounds, Nisse, and Dwarfs. Man being standard Humans, Faunus being were mammals that can transform into the animal they represent/Scalebounds being were reptiles or amphibians that can transform into the lizard they represent, Nisse being the Elven race, and Dwarfs being...well, dwarfs. The Grimm's of course are the dark beings of monstrosity that this time around feast on humanoid blood to gather strength and evolve into bigger, badder, more angrier and even more intelligent creatures. Their place of origin unknown to the history lost in Remnants forgotten past. And the only thing keeping us and them separate are the ways of the hunt that Humanoids have invented. For a millennium, Hunters and Huntresses alike are a worldwide tradition to keep power to the people who are governed by the giant corporation known as 'Atlas' who keep our world in "check" with brainwash and a false sense of security via their dealings with the magical earthbound resource known as 'Dust'. It's literally the goddamn wild west out there when it comes to being a Hunter, and it's the perfect playground for our four main protagonists Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang to set off on their adventures together as a team!
