Fan Casting Nathaniel Essex in Rupert Wyatt's Gambit

A brilliant, aristocratic geneticist with a diamond-shaped scar on his forehead and a god complex to match. Essex runs a secret compound where mutant children are harvested for their DNA — a drug pipeline he believes will "save mankind from itself." He is also Gambit's biological father, having abandoned his frail, unstable son by the river decades ago. Charming, patient, and utterly devoid of empathy, Essex speaks in warm, fatherly tones while committing atrocities. He hired Gambit to steal back his stolen trunk, not realizing he was being conned.
