Fan Casting Luke Lebeau in Rupert Wyatt's Gambit

A dignified, sharp-witted master thief who runs a crew of street kids from a ramshackle boat in the bayou. Luke took in a feral young Gambit when no one else would, teaching him the trade and treating him as a son. Where others fear mutants, Luke sees opportunity. "Blood don't matter," he tells his boys. "Reckon everybody got a little of the devil in them." His murder — shot in the back by Maryanne Boudreaux during the bank robbery — shatters the Lebeau family and sends Gambit into exile. Luke is the film's moral center: a criminal with a code, a father who chose love over blood.
