Santa Claus
for Santa Claus in RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (Live Action Movie)
Suggested by filmeinstein

Based on the stop-motion animated musical short film by Rankin/Bass. Two years before a terrible snow storm, one of Santa's reindeer, Donner, became a father. He and the Mrs named their son, Rudolph. To everyone's surprise, he was born with a red nose that GLOWS! Donner tried to keep Rudolph's nose a secret by letting him wear a false black nose. At the Reindeer Games, where all yearlings tryout for Santa's sleigh team, Rudolph meets a beautiful doe named Clarice, who calls him cute, which causes him to be so happy, he jumps very high in the air. Everyone's impressed, but in the excitement, Rudolph's fake nose falls off revealing the glowing nose. All the reindeer laugh, call him names, and shun him. So he runs away. Meanwhile, an elf named Hermey feels like a misfit because he's not good at toy-making productivity and that he would much rather be a dentist. The elf boss tells him off for that, so Hermey runs away too. Rudolph and Hermey cross paths and decide to explore the world together. They meet an eccentric prospector named Yukon Cornelius, who also feels like a misfit, because he was ridiculed for not finding as much gold and silver as he declared (as in he found NONE). He also joins, and they run away from an Abominable Snow Monster. After their narrow escape, the trio find themselves at a place called "The Island of Misfit Toys."
