Tsuyoshi Abe (born February 13, 1982) is a Chinese-Japanese actor who achieved pan-Asian stardom in the mid-2000s as a member of the iconic "F4" in the Japanese live-action adaptation of Hana Yori Dango (2005). Portraying the sophisticated and multilingual Akira Mimasaka, he became a central figure in the "Hallyu-style" wave of Japanese dramas that dominated regional pop culture. Born in Heilongjiang, China, as Li Zhen-dong and moving to Japan at age nine, his bicultural background and fluency in Mandarin and Japanese allowed him to build a unique career across both markets, starring in the Taiwanese film Seven Nights in Japan and various mainland Chinese productions alongside his work in Japan.
