In the world where humans and cartoon characters co-exist, Roger Rabbit's nephew, Rodrick (Knoxville) Rabbit escapes from his abusive studio owner with his two co-workers, Magnum and Moore, but due to some outrageous reason, he becomes an outlaw in the process. Aided by one of his college pals and caretaker of his bear cub, Oscar, he, Garrett, and the others hide in an abandoned store, which was once owned by his parents. One night, however, Rodrick's old rival rats out his whereabouts. This leads to Cooper T. Hutch, a persistent hound, being recruited to track down and capture Rodrick, which proves to be a lot more difficult than it seems. Rodrick and his friends must rely on their own resources, and maybe with a bit of assistance from the 'Rabbit' family. Will they manage to hold out against the authorities until New Year's Eve?
