Cogswell's smarmy 23-year-old assistant who lords his petty authority over the cubicle farm, tormenting new hires like Jane while desperately projecting an image of corporate dominance. His reign of terror is constantly, hilariously undermined by the presence of his mother, who works in the next cubicle and loudly asks whether he wants pot roast or grilled cheese for dinner. He weaponizes his natural charm as a mask for weaselly ambition, then masterfully collapses into flustered, adolescent embarrassment when his schemes backfire and he is demoted to Jane's personal subordinate.
