Father Eastman is a well respected priest. He arrives out of the blue after Winona’s death, offering to perform an exorcism on Beethoven… Ben accepts, and the final act centers around the exorcism itself. Ultimately it turns Beethoven into a freakish creature, who kills Eastman in revenge.
